The seminar attracted numerous faculty members from various Faculties/Institutes of VNU University of Economics & Business. The event featured a distinguished guest speaker, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Ninh, an expert from the Pher Project at The University of Hong Kong.

In accordance with Decision No. 1765/QĐ-ĐHKT dated June 15, 2021, issued by University of Economics & Business, regarding the implementation of the quality accreditation plan for academic programs based on ACBSP standards, the Center for Educational Quality Assurance organized a seminar on January 12, 2023, to share experiences on the topic "Quality Accreditation of Academic Programs According to ACBSP Standards". The seminar featured Ms. Nguyễn Ngọc Ninh, an expert from the Pher Project at the Education University of Hong Kong, as the keynote speaker.

Representing VNU University of Economics & Business were Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Thuy, Head of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing and Leader of the ACBSP Accreditation Implementation Team; Ms. Dao Thi Thanh Huyen, Director of the Center for Educational Quality Assurance; and Ms. Ngo Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Academic Affairs Department.

Representing the Faculties and Institutes were Heads of Departments, members of the Self-Assessment Report Writing Team following ACBSP standards, and the Accreditation Implementation Team. In addition, faculty members from the Center for Educational Quality Assurance and the Academic Affairs Department of VNU University of Economics & Business also participated in the seminar.

In her opening remarks at the seminar, Ms. Dao Thi Thanh Huyen introduced the attending delegates and presented the plan for implementing quality accreditation according to ACBSP standards.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Thuy, Leader of the ACBSP Accreditation Implementation Team, provided a brief overview of the quality accreditation process according to ACBSP standards. She highlighted the activities that have been completed, those currently in progress, and the planned initiatives for 2023.

During the seminar, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Ninh, an expert from The University of Hong Kong, shared insights with faculty members on the following topics:

• Approaches to developing program learning outcomes at various universities worldwide;
• Methods for aligning learning outcomes with the institution's Vision, Mission, and Core Values;
• Strategies for designing content weighting and exam structures in accordance with ACBSP standards.

These are complex and challenging topics that require a deep understanding of academic programs, the methodology for developing learning outcomes aligned with international standards, and compliance with the requirements of the ACBSP quality accreditation framework.

These topics were thoroughly presented by Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Ninh and received significant interest from faculty members at University of Economics & Business. The seminar also dedicated substantial time for discussion, allowing faculty members to exchange insights and seek clarification on challenges faced during the implementation of ACBSP quality accreditation, with Ms. Ninh providing detailed responses and guidance.

Additionally, the seminar provided an opportunity for Dr. Bui Phuong Chi to share her experiences and methodologies in developing and assessing academic work using Rubrics. Having studied and worked abroad, Dr. Chi has actively participated in quality accreditation processes under both AACSB and ACBSP standards, gaining extensive experience in this field. The development and assessment of exams using Rubrics is an ongoing initiative at the university and is also a requirement for ACBSP accreditation.

The seminar was highly appreciated by faculty members at University of Economics & Business. They expressed a strong desire for the Center for Educational Quality Assurance to invite more experts, both domestic and international, to share insights and best practices. Such initiatives would further enhance faculty expertise and contribute to the successful implementation of ACBSP accreditation at the university.
