In accordance with Plan No. 1765/ĐHKT-ĐBCL dated June 15, 2021, issued by the VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) regarding the implementation of the accreditation plan for academic programs under the ACBSP standards, the university has carried out multiple initiatives to adjust and enhance training quality. These efforts aim to meet the accreditation criteria and successfully achieve quality accreditation for UEB’s academic programs under ACBSP standards.
To support this process, the Peregrine Exam Preparation and Guidance Team was established under Decision No. 4304/QĐ-ĐHKT on December 2, 2022 (with member adjustments in Decision No. 461/QĐ-ĐHKT on February 24, 2023). The team is responsible for organizing training sessions and review classes for students taking the Peregrine exam, overseeing the implementation of tasks according to the outlined plan, and reporting progress to the university's Board of Rectors.
The Peregrine exam is administered by Peregrine Global Services, an independent, non-governmental organization founded in 2003. The organization’s mission is:
"To make a difference in the world by fostering innovation, developing leaders capable of solving the world's complex problems, and enhancing the quality of higher education. Turning data into knowledge, knowledge into wisdom, and wisdom into action."
Peregrine Global Services consists of distinguished academic members who value diversity, encourage academic innovation, and promote the quality of higher education and lifelong learning.
Peregrine Global Services provides various tools to support higher education institutions worldwide in gathering objective and fair data to assess their academic programs—especially those undergoing accreditation under ACBSP standards. The assessment results from the Peregrine exam serve as key evidence for the quality of academic programs at an institution, reinforcing the commitments that UEB has made regarding its Mission - Vision - Core Values. Additionally, the results provide ACBSP with an objective and precise basis for evaluating the university’s academic programs.
According to the plan, UEB will send students to participate in the Peregrine exam in April 2023. The first batch will include 100 students selected from cohorts QH2018E, QH2019E, and QH2020E, representing the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing, Faculty of Finance and Banking, Faculty of International Business and Economics, and the School of Business Administration.
To ensure students achieve the best results in this exam, on March 22, 2023, Peregrine Global Services assigned Ms. Amber Ratcliff and Ms. Odgerel Batmunkh to support UEB’s faculty members in guiding and preparing students for the exam.
During the meeting, Ms. Amber Ratcliff discussed with the faculty members of the Peregrine Exam Preparation and Guidance Team various aspects related to organizing the Peregrine exam for students. The discussion covered key topics such as the exam registration process, test-taking techniques, payment procedures, and other relevant matters to ensure the best possible support for the university and help students achieve optimal results in the exam.
Ms. Odgerel Batmunkh further discussed with the faculty members of the Peregrine Exam Preparation and Guidance Team the potential challenges students might encounter during the exam and provided solutions to address these issues.
The team members dedicated significant time to discussing key aspects of the preparation process, including study schedules, preparation methods, the duration for each CPC (Common Professional Component), and the selection criteria for students participating in the exam.
With the insights shared during the meeting and thorough, well-structured preparation, the faculty members of the Peregrine Exam Preparation and Guidance Team are confident in guiding students effectively, ensuring they complete the exam with the best possible results.
