ACBSP (Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs) is the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (USA) and the largest global accrediting organization for business programs, recognized by CHEA.

Established in August 1988, ACBSP represents 60 countries across 11 geographical regions, with 1,200 branches and 1,116 member universities. In Southeast Asia (Region 10), there are 10 countries and 55 universities, including Vietnam.

With the desire to affirm the quality of education that aligns with global standards, universities in Vietnam have been working towards international accreditation, including ACBSP accreditation for business programs.

As part of its strategy to internationalize education and prepare students for a globalized world, the VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) has been a member of ACBSP since 2020.

The ACBSP Region 10 Conference 2024 will take place from February 22 to 26, 2024. This prestigious academic event will be hosted for the first time by FPT University - Ho Chi Minh City campus, aiming to build an academic research community, explore new ideas and initiatives, and contribute to educational development and student success.

To prepare for the event, a preliminary meeting was held on September 30, 2023, at FPT University, with representatives from various institutions attending.

The meeting was chaired by representatives of ACBSP Region 10:

• Dr. Rajesh Khajuria - ACBSP Board Commissioner, Accreditation Governance Board Member, and FPTU Professor
• Dr. Trần Ngọc Tuấn - ACBSP Region 10 Chair, Vice Rector of FPTU
• Dr. Trịnh Trọng Hùng - ACBSP Evaluator, Dean of the Faculty of Business at FPTU

Faculty members from various universities interested in ACBSP Region 10 also participated.

The meeting was conducted both in-person and online, covering various topics related to ACBSP 2024.

On behalf of the VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB), Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Thuy, Head of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing and Head of the ACBSP Implementation Team, attended the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Thuy emphasized that this was a valuable opportunity for faculty members to gain more insights into ACBSP, exchange experiences with member universities in Region 10, and effectively implement ACBSP accreditation for academic programs at their institution. Additionally, she shared updates on the ACBSP implementation process at the University of Economics and expressed the desire for support and collaboration from Region 10 leaders during the accreditation process.
