The Meet UEB Mentor 2023 competition, organized by the VNU - University of Economics and Business (UEB) in collaboration with the Youth Development Support Fund (FYE), aims to create career guidance opportunities for high school students, enhance the skills of UEB students, and foster connections between students, lecturers, and businesses. The competition, which ran from February to June 2023, combined both online and offline formats.

A New and Engaging Platform for High School Students and University Students

The competition was designed to provide a healthy and exciting platform for high school students and UEB students, enhancing the quality of student skills and fostering connections between students, lecturers, businesses, and professional associations. It also aims to increase career opportunities for students and enhance real-world experiences by involving businesses and associations in the competition.

For high school students, facing the crucial decision of choosing a career path and university, the competition allowed them (mentees) to work with UEB students (mentors) through three rounds of learning about economics and business. They collaborated on a business project with guidance from UEB lecturers. These rounds provided high school students with a clearer understanding of the economics and business fields they may wish to pursue.

Surprises at the Meet UEB Mentor 2023 Finals

On June 11, 2023, the Meet UEB Mentor 2023 finals took place, filled with surprises. The creative ideas from the participating teams, the confidence of the mentees, their impressive language skills, and the well-prepared business projects were all highlights.

At the final event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Trung Thanh, Rector of UEB, shared his thoughts on the significance of the competition, emphasizing the importance of early career awareness for high school students and expressing hope that UEB would continue supporting high school students in future exchange and career orientation activities.

Mrs. Nguyen Cam Chi, Chairwoman of the Youth Development Support Fund, also expressed her delight and surprise at the quality of the finalists. She announced that any business project reaching the finals would receive support and potential investment for practical implementation.
