Office of Admissions 14:48 11/11/2021

In line with the government's policy of career orientation and creating opportunities for athletes to integrate and seek suitable employment opportunities after completing their national duties and contributing to the nation's sports achievements, UEB, in collaboration with the General Department of Sports and Physical Training under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, has organized and implemented a university-level training program in Business Administration (BA) for athletic talents.

From the concern of post-retirement…

Athletes are perhaps considered a "special" profession in society due to the unique nature of their work and "labor" environment. In addition, their labor results are quite different from those of other professions in society.

Vietnamese high-performance athletes can concentrate on practices and completion now on, knowing that opportunities for university education in Economics and job applications have been opened up.

Every year, many athletes in Vietnam retire from their competitive careers, including those who have achieved high results in national, regional, continental, and world competitions, significantly contributing to the success of national and local sports. However, after retirement, they face many difficulties in determining their future.

To become elite-level athletes, individuals are always required to start practicing at a very early age. There are many stories of young boys and girls who have to leave their families from the age of 5-6 and go abroad to train for many years with the aspiration of reaching a high level of skill and expertise. However, an athlete's competitive career only lasts about 15 to 20 years, depending on the sport. Therefore, the question of a career path for athletes after retirement has always been a complex issue in Vietnamese sports.

To the new opportunity for athletes

Implementing the government's policy of career orientation and creating conditions for athletes to integrate and seek suitable employment opportunities after completing their national duties and contributing to the nation's sports, UEB in collaboration with the General Department of Sports and Physical Training under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, has organized and implemented a university-level training program in Business Administration (BA) for athletic talents.
