HANOI – On March 26, 2025, VNU University of Economics and Business (VNU-UEB), the People’s Police Academy, and the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) convened a conference to review their collaborative activities. The conference acknowledged the significant achievements made in recent years, and outlined directions for continued partnership and development in the coming period, which culminated in renewed agreements.

From VNU-UEB: Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Truc Le - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council; Associate Professor Dr. Le Trung Thanh - Rector, along with Vice Rectors, and leaders of units, faculties and institutes of the University.
From BIDV: Mr. Phan Duc Tu - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Vice Presidents: Mr. Lai Tien Quan, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Giao, Mr. Hoang Viet Hung; Mr. Ho Duc Dung - Director of Thanh Xuan Branch, along with branch leaders and staff.
From the People's Police Academy: Major General - Associate Professor Dr. Trinh Ngoc Quyen - Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Academy; Vice Directors: Major General - Associate Professor Dr. Tran Anh Vu, Colonel - Professor Dr. Nguyen Truong Tho, Colonel - Dr. Nguyen Van Thiet, Senior Lieutenant Colonel - Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hong Thai, and Senior Lieutenant Colonel - Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Trung Kien - Chief of the Academy Office, along with Academy staff.
Opening the conference, Senior Lieutenant Colonel - Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Trung Kien reported on the results of cooperation between the People's Police Academy and VNU-UEB: "Over the past 10 years, the People’s Police Academy and VNU-UEB have cooperated effectively, enhancing the quality of training and scientific research. The two sides have sent 32 lecturers to participate in teaching, supervised 10 graduate students, jointly developed training programs, and conducted research on state-level projects. In the future, the two units will expand in-depth training cooperation, conduct new research, organize conferences, publish scientific articles, and strengthen the construction of databases and teaching materials, along with group activities."
Major General, Associate Professor Dr. Trinh Ngoc Quyen shared: "In the future, the People's Police Academy hopes to continue to receive effective coordination and expand areas of cooperation with VNU-UEB, while also expressing gratitude to BIDV for its companionship and valuable contributions over the years, contributing to the joint development of the parties."
VNU-UEB and the People's Police Academy signed a memorandum of understanding to expand and implement more activities in the coming period.
Continuing the program, Mr. Lai Tien Quan - Vice President of BIDV reported on the results of cooperation and directions for cooperation between BIDV and VNU-UEB. Accordingly, over the past 5 years, BIDV has supported VNU-UEB with financial services, scholarships for students, infrastructure upgrades, and funding for academic activities and conferences. It is expected that in the period 2025-2030, the two sides will promote sustainable and innovative cooperation with the following contents: maintaining financial services, organizing internships, sharing experiences, prioritizing the recruitment of excellent students, coordinating communications, and sponsoring scholarships and social activities.
VNU-UEB and BIDV signed a memorandum of understanding to promote activities between the two sides to improve the quality of training, research, and community service, towards comprehensive development in the future.
Mr. Phan Duc Tu said: "The trust and support from VNU-UEB and the People's Police Academy has created conditions for BIDV to contribute more actively, share more values, and better fulfill its mission in the field of education and training of the country. We have gone through a long journey together, striving non-stop to keep pace with the whole country as it enters a new era, contributing to the nation's rise. BIDV looks forward to continuing to accompany and be associated with the two units, making the most of each side's potential and strengths, creating a solid foundation to support each other in completing development strategies excellently, thereby serving effectively the cause of building and defending the Fatherland."
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Truc Le also expressed his gratitude and thanked the partners, sharing: "This cooperation is a clear proof of the long-term commitment to promoting the three-way relationship to develop in a sustainable, practical and increasingly comprehensive direction - contributing positively to the cause of training, research and community service, working together to contribute heart - virtue - intelligence - talent to the nation’s era of rising up."
The summary conference was a success, not only an opportunity for the three units to review the outstanding results achieved in the process of accompanying each other, but also a forum to enhance understanding, share visions, exchange strategic orientations, and propose practical and effective cooperation initiatives in the future.
