EMPLOYMENT/EXPERIENCE

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Dinh Hai, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Development Economics, University of Economics - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, graduated with a master's degree in Environmental Management and Development from the Australian National University (ANU) in 2006; and a doctorate in Natural Resources and Environmental Economics from the University of Queensland (UQ) - Australia in 2013. His doctoral thesis mainly focuses on applying econometric models and the Baysian Belief Network model to identify factors affecting the success of forest restoration projects in developing tropical countries - a case study in the Philippines. In particular, with this doctoral thesis, I have published 5 articles in prestigious international journals such as Global Environmental Change, Rural Studies, Ecological Modelling, Smallscale Forestry, and Sustainable Forestry in the SCI, SSCI, and SCIE categories. I am a lecturer with 25 years of experience in training and scientific research in Agricultural and forestry economics and policy, environmental resources economics and policy, Economic management, sustainable livelihood development, and sustainable poverty reduction. I have strengths in using specialized statistical software such as STATA, SPSS, and NETICA for data analysis, especially applying linear regression models, binary logit models (Binary Logistic Regression), exploratory factor analysis models (EFA), and SEM structural models; Modeling such as Baysian Network Model with Netica software. These quantitative models have been applied in scientific research, and many scientific articles have been published domestically and internationally. In addition, he participated in guiding many groups of scientific research students to win awards at all levels.
