From November 9-10, 2023, VNU University of Economics and Business in cooperation with the University of Economics in Cracow (Poland), the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the European Union (VBAE), will organize the 2023 Vietnam – EU Economic and Trade Forum (VEF 2023).

The forum is a gathering place for policymakers, scholars, and entrepreneurs from Vietnam and the EU to discuss ways to promote trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and EU countries.

- November 9, 2023 at Pullman Hotel, 40 Cat Linh, Hanoi;

- November 10, 2023 at the International Conference Hall, VNU University of Economics and Business, 144 Xuan Thuy, Cau Giay, Hanoi.

The economic relationship between Europe and Asia in general and Vietnam in particular is an important relationship, with both regions relying on trade and investment. In recent years, the growth of the Asian economy has been one of the key drivers of the economic relationship between these two regions, with Asian countries, including Vietnam, becoming major trading partners for European countries. This has been supported by the rise of globalization, which has allowed for the creation of a global supply chain and the growth of international trade.

With the participation of speakers from Vietnam and the EU, including scientists, researchers, and experts from relevant ministries, departments, and sectors, the forum is expected to open up new research cooperation opportunities between universities, research institutes, businesses, development organizations, and government agencies in Vietnam and the EU, towards addressing the major issues of sustainable socio-economic development of Vietnam and the EU countries.

In particular, at the Forum, the organizing committee will launch a monograph titled "Economic and Political Aspects of EU-Vietnam Relations" published by Springer Publishing.
