The Faculty of Political Economy, under Hanoi General University—the predecessor of VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB)—served as the 'backbone' and the strong 'cornerstone' that laid the foundation for UEB to develop and grow into what it is today. UEB currently stands as one of the leading universities in Vietnam, contributing to the country’s education system's reach on a global scale, standing shoulder to shoulder with leading nations across five continents.

4. Strategic Plan:
(1) Increase enrollment scale associated with conditions to ensure training quality. The faculty aims to achieve annual increase the number of leaners 16% in scale by 2025.
(2) Develop and diversify the training programs in economics and political economy. Focus on developing advanced training programs integrated with the latest technology to enhance the educational quality and relevance. Simultaneously, develop more interdisciplinary courses to provide a comprehensive education that meets the evolving needs of the industry.
(3) Submit Bachelor Economics program for ACBSP accreditation by 2025-2030.
(4) Continue promoting the VNU-level strong research group of Political Economy. Promote interdisciplinary collaboration and provide necessary resources and training to enhance research capabilities.
(5) Enhance the research impact by increasing international publications and boosting the number of scientific products transferred by 30% in economics and political economy.
