After four days of focused and professional work, carried out with a high sense of responsibility, the external evaluation team successfully completed the official survey of the 04 academic programs at the VNU University of Economics and Business.

At the closing ceremony of the official survey, held on the afternoon of April 18, 2025, the external evaluation team presented a preliminary report on the 04 programs, structured according to the following key areas: (i) Program Design (Standards 1, 2, 3); (ii) Program Implementation (Standards 4, 5); (iii) Human Resources – including lecturers, researchers, and administrative staff (Standards 6, 7); (iv) Student Support and Facilities (Standards 8, 9); (v) Quality Assurance and Enhancement (Standards 10, 11).

According to the team’s findings, all 04 programs under review were developed with clearly defined goals and learning outcomes, aligned with the university’s mission and vision. The programs were logically structured, regularly updated to reflect labor market needs, and developed with input from relevant stakeholders. Implementation was effective, incorporating active teaching methods and a continuously improved system of learning outcome assessment. The academic staff were highly qualified and had achieved notable success in scientific research. The university had also made significant improvements in performance-based staff management, utilizing data dashboards to inform decision-making processes. Considerable investment had been made in student support services, physical infrastructure, and digital transformation, creating favorable conditions for teaching, learning, and research. Quality monitoring and improvement activities were carried out systematically, with effective use of survey data and stakeholder feedback.

The external evaluation team offered several recommendations, including: (i) Strengthening the alignment between course syllabi, teaching methods, and assessment strategies with the stated learning outcomes; (ii) Consistently applying rubrics for assessing skills and learners’ autonomy and responsibility; (iii) Enhancing the quality management system through in-depth analysis of survey data and broader benchmarking with both domestic and international institutions, to inform evidence-based decision-making and continuous improvement.

Providing an overall assessment, Dr. Nguyen Duc Nghia expressed a strong impression of the quality of the programs. He acknowledged the university’s ongoing efforts in innovation and its commitment to quality education for learners and society. The official external evaluation report is expected to be finalized by the evaluation team in May 2025.
