VNU University of Economics and Business Announces Admissions for Joint Bachelor of Business Administration Program in Partnership with Troy University, USA

This announcement details the admission process for the 24th cohort of the joint BBA program between the VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) and Troy University, USA, for the 2025-2029 academic year.

1. Enrollment Quota: 150 students

2. Program Details: This program utilizes the fully accredited curriculum of Troy University. The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program comprises 44 courses (122 credits) with a major in Global Business and two concentration options: Management and Data Analytics. The standard program length is 3.5 years (10 semesters), with three semesters per academic year.

Students wishing to transfer to Troy University in the USA must have completed at least 6 Troy University credits over two consecutive semesters and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.7/4.0. Transfer students maintaining a GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher will receive a 50% tuition scholarship.

Language of Instruction: English

3. Admission Methods and Requirements:

3.1. Method 1: Direct Admission: Applicants must meet BOTH of the following requirements:

- Requirements 1: A GPA of at least 8.0/10.0 (or 3.5/4.0) for 4/6 high school semesters.  The remaining semester(s) must have a GPA of at least 7.0/10.0 (or 3.0/4.0).
- Requirements 2: An internationally recognized English language certificate equivalent to at least Level 4 of the 6-level Vietnamese Language Proficiency Framework (VSTEP): IELTS 5.5; TOEFL iBT 72 (valid for two years from the application date).

3.2. Method 2: High School Transcript Review: Applicants must meet ALL of the following conditions:

- Requirements 1: A GPA of at least 6.5/10.0 (or 2.5/4.0) for each year of high school.
- Requirements 2: A total score of at least 21 points in three subjects from one of the following combinations in grade 12, with a minimum score of 7.0/10 in English:

   *   A01: Math, Physics, English
   *   D01: Math, Literature, English
   *   D07: Math, Chemistry, English
   *   D08: Math, Biology, English

- Requirements 3: An internationally recognized English language certificate equivalent to at least Level 4 of the 6-level Vietnamese Language Proficiency Framework (VSTEP): IELTS 5.5; TOEFL iBT 72 (valid for two years from the application date).

3.3. Method 3: Standardized Test Scores

(a)  Applicants who have graduated from high school and possess one of the following international certificates (valid for two years from the test date) are eligible and do not need to submit a separate English language certificate:

  • ACT score of at least 20/36 (with a minimum English score of 18)
  • SAT score of at least 1050/1600 (with a reading and writing score of at least 480, valid for two years from the test date)
  • A Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) A-Level Certificate with a grade of C or higher in three subjects relevant to the chosen field of study (e.g., Math, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology).

(b) Vietnamese nationals with a high school diploma from a foreign institution must have their diploma officially recognized in Vietnam.  They must also meet the following GPA requirement: a GPA of at least 6.5/10.0 (or 2.5/4.0) for each year of high school.

4. Degree Requirements and Graduation:

  • Students must accumulate a minimum of 122 credits, achieving a minimum GPA of 2.5/4.0 for general education courses and 2.0/4.0 for major and specialization courses.
  • Students must fulfill all financial obligations.

Graduates receive a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from the University of Troy University, USA (recognized by the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training).  The diploma and transcript will be identical to those awarded to students graduating from Troy University in the USA.

Graduates receive a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree from Troy University, USA. This program is authorized by the National University of Hanoi, and the degree is recognized by Vietnam's Ministry of Education and Training's Department of Quality Management. Transcripts are issued by Troy University and are identical to those issued to students who complete the program in the USA.

6. Student Benefits: Students receive full benefits of regular undergraduate students at both the VNU University of Economics and Business and Troy University (excluding tuition waivers/reductions), including but not limited to:

  • Participation in student exchange programs (with credit recognition) at over 60 leading global partner universities of UEB and the National University of Hanoi.
  • Participation in cultural and sporting events, national and international academic conferences, and research opportunities with faculty.
  • Access to soft skills training, personal development clubs, and career support services.
  • Access to high-quality teaching support services, student affairs support, and international-standard facilities.
  • Eligibility for Optional Practical Training (OPT) in the USA (for students transferring to Troy University to complete their studies): OPT allows international students who have studied in the US for at least one year to legally work full-time or part-time for US companies related to their field of study.
  • Access to the Troy University global alumni network and strategic corporate partnerships, creating opportunities for entrepreneurship, career advancement, and networking.

7. Fees:

  • Application Fee: 2,552,500 VND (equivalent to 100 USD)
  • Tuition Fee (for a standard 122-credit program, 3.5 years/10 semesters, fully in Vietnam): 362,455,000 VND (equivalent to 14,200 USD).

Note:

  • Regularly admitted students in the 24th cohort receive a 11,486,250 VND scholarship (450 USD). The net tuition after the scholarship is 350,968,750 VND (13,750 USD). Scholarships are deducted directly from tuition payments.
  • Graduation Fee: 1,531,500 VND (60 USD) – paid directly to Troy University upon graduation application.
  • Graduation Ceremony Fee: 3,828,750 VND (150 USD).
  • Payment Method: Bank Transfer. Fees are in VND and subject to change based on the Vietcombank exchange rate at the time of payment. The approximate exchange rate is 1 USD = 25,525 VND (Vietcombank exchange rate on December 26, 2024).

Note: Students transferring to Troy University in the USA will pay tuition according to Troy University's international student rates. Students maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 may be eligible for a 50% tuition scholarship at Troy University.
