VNU University of Economics and Business recently held a ceremony to officially appoint three of its faculty members to the rank of Associate Professor: Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Dr. Nguyen The Kien, and Dr. Hoang Khac Lich. The ceremony, held in Auditorium 801, not only honored their dedication to research and teaching but also reaffirmed UEB's commitment to developing high-quality human resources.

 

 

Recognizing Excellence and Achievement

Associate Professor Nguyen Tien Dung is an expert in International Finance and a lecturer in the Faculty of International Economics and Business. With over 20 years of experience, he has published 24 scholarly articles, including five in ISI/Scopus-indexed journals. His research focuses on regional economic integration, contributing significantly to policy solutions.

Associate Professor Hoang Khac Lich specializes in Economics and currently serves as UEB's Vice Rector, Head of the Human Resources Department, and President of the Trade Union. With 44 published articles and seven textbooks, he has successfully mentored numerous graduate students, making substantial contributions to the development of both the university and the field of economics.

Associate Professor Nguyen The Kien, specializing in Economic Management, is the Director of the Center for Socio-Economic Data and Analysis and a lecturer in the Faculty of Development Economics. He has 52 research publications, including 14 in ISI/Scopus-indexed journals, and has co-authored five monographs and textbooks. His research focuses on sustainable and circular economics, with a strong emphasis on practical application.

Sharing in the celebration, Associate Professor Nguyen Truc Le, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council, emphasized, “Developing a high-quality faculty has always been a core strategy at UEB. We continually develop and implement policies to promote innovative teaching, modernize learning methods, and strengthen scientific research and international collaboration. UEB also prioritizes connecting with external resources, providing opportunities for faculty to enhance their teaching and research capabilities.
