The Center for International Training and Education(UEB-CITE) at VNU University of Economics and Business celebrated the graduation of its 19th cohort of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) students on November 16, 2024. The program, offered in partnership with Troy University (USA), provides a US-style business education in Vietnam.

Distinguished guests included UEB's Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman - Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le, and Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Trung Thanh; and Troy University's President, Dr. Jack Hawkins Jr., and Senior Vice Chancellor, Mr. Sohail Agboatwala. Families, faculty, and nearly 100 graduates filled the hall to mark the occasion.

The ceremony began with a processional of the graduates, a touching moment for families and friends as the graduates embarked on their next chapter.

Assoc. Prof. Dr.  Le Trung Thanh Thanh spoke about the significance of the Vietnam-US educational partnership and encouraged graduates to embrace lifelong learning and global experiences. He highlighted the UEB-Troy program as a testament to UEB's 50-year commitment to internationalization.

He offered heartfelt advice to the graduates: "Take the knowledge and values you've gained here at UEB and use them to make a difference in the world. Remember, you are always part of the UEB-VNU family."

Dr. Hawkins expressed his pride in the graduating class: "Today marks a new beginning, a new chapter in your lives. This degree is not just an accomplishment; it's a responsibility. The world needs ethical, capable, and visionary leaders—leaders who see beyond the present and envision what's possible. We are incredibly proud to count you among the Trojan family."

Valedictorian Le Thanh Hieu, who achieved a remarkable 3.95 GPA, shared her inspiring journey: "It's an honor to be here today, culminating an unforgettable experience. Starting this program at 34, married with two children, I had my doubts. But with the support of my classmates, professors, and family, I rediscovered myself and felt a renewed sense of purpose."

Amidst cheers and applause, graduates received their diplomas from UEB and Troy University representatives. Outstanding students were also recognized with awards celebrating their academic excellence and contributions.

One parent, Ms. Huong Loan, shared her emotion: "I was more anxious and excited than my daughter! I was so moved throughout the ceremony. I'm truly grateful to UEB for providing such a high-quality education and helping my daughter grow."

The graduation ceremony marked not an end, but a beginning—the start of promising futures for these graduates. We wish them every success in their future endeavors.
