Ms. Lyn Haralson has 20 years of experience in community development. She believes that whether a community is strong or weak depends on how well its members use their resources and reach their full potential. Many people run into market hurdles that prohibit them from using their potential to the fullest, while others merely choose financial practices that work against them.

She joined the US Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) in 2011 to concentrate on the consumer as an individual. Her work at the CFPB focuses on taking advantage of opportunities to offer customers just-in-time financial education and services so they may make informed financial decisions, modify poor money habits, and align their spending patterns with long-term financial objectives.
