EMPLOYMENT/EXPERIENCE
Dr. Bui Hai Thiem is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Political Economy; Previously, he held various positions such as Lecturer at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (2022-23), Director of Research Management Division and Deputy Director of the General Division of the Institute of Legislative Studies under the National Assembly Standing Committee of Vietnam (2008-2021); Specialist of the Party Central Committee's External Affairs Commission (2003-2008); Currently, he is member and secretary of the Interdisciplinary research committee on Philosophy-Sociology-Politics of the National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED) (2019-present). He was a British Chevening Scholar, Australian Leadership Award Scholar, Asia Foundation Development Fellow and YSEAL Professional Fellow. He was a visiting reseacher at University of Oslo in Norway and visiting professor at Jagiellonian University in Poland. He served as a consultant to UNDP, DFID, GIZ, Global Affairs Canada.
