Dr. Vu Thi Thanh Binh and Dr. Dang Thu Hang, lecturers from the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing at the VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB), recently completed an international training course under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Program 2025, organized by the Government of India. This participation contributes significantly to enhancing the quality of the university's training and research in project management and infrastructure development.
The training course, themed "Infrastructure Project Management & PPP," was held at Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya in Gujarat, India. This intensive program convened over 60 experts, lecturers, and management personnel from 21 countries, focusing on critical areas such as managing large-scale infrastructure projects, Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models, and contemporary trends in project management widely adopted today.
The UEB lecturers quickly integrated into a multinational and multicultural learning environment, which brought together participants with diverse backgrounds and experiences from various countries. The sessions were meticulously structured, combining theoretical instruction with practical exercises, facilitating an effective exchange of knowledge, experience, and skills. The curriculum extended beyond project management techniques to encompass policy, financial, and legal aspects related to PPPs. The UEB lecturers actively participated in group discussions, debates, and shared academic perspectives, thereby enhancing their critical thinking abilities and deepening their understanding.
In addition to theoretical sessions, the lecturers had the opportunity to conduct a site visit to Plasser India, a leading manufacturer of railway infrastructure equipment. This visit provided the lecturers with a clearer understanding of operational processes, management practices, and the application of project management knowledge in a real-world corporate setting. This crucial experience helped the lecturers bridge the gap between theory and practice, thereby improving their ability to convey practical knowledge to students and develop scientific research relevant to industry practices. This, in turn, contributes to elevating the quality of training and research conducted by lecturers within the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing.
Within the program framework, the lecturers were also facilitated to participate in specialized research groups. This offered an invaluable opportunity for them to exchange and discuss academic experiences with experts and managers from various countries. These activities not only broadened their understanding of modern research methodologies but also supported them in preparing high-quality scientific articles and publishing valuable specialized outputs. The outcomes of this research will contribute to enhancing the reputation and standing of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing, as well as the VNU University of Economics and Business, on an international scale.
This visit also presented opportunities to establish and strengthen multilateral cooperative relationships with international universities, research institutes, enterprises, and governmental organizations. These connections lay a solid foundation for developing future academic exchange programs, training initiatives, research collaborations, and developmental partnerships. Notably, the diversity in countries and specialized fields of the partners enables UEB to continually innovate and enhance the quality of its education, thereby reinforcing the university's position on the international education map.
The VNU University of Economics and Business consistently provides optimal conditions for its faculty to access modern educational trends, update their specialized knowledge, and accumulate diverse practical experiences from various academic environments worldwide. The university aims to cultivate a team of lecturers who are not only professionally proficient but also possess a global vision, research capabilities, and the flexibility to apply knowledge to real-world scenarios. This forms a crucial foundation for UEB to contribute to the socio-economic development of the nation in the context of increasingly profound international integration and competition
