VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) welcomed thr delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), including Mr. Robert York, Deputy Director of Human Resources, and Mr. Muliadi Kamaruzzaman, Global Talent Partner - Human Resources. This meeting marked the beginning of a strategic partnership between UEB and the IMF, aimed at promoting learning and career development opportunities for UEB students in the international economic environment.
During the meeting with UEB's leadership, represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu, Vice Rector, and leaders of various departments and faculties/institutes, the two sides discussed long-term cooperation methods, particularly in creating learning, internship, and job programs for students. The IMF committed to providing direct access to the international work environment, supporting students in developing professional skills and the ability to work in major economic organizations globally.
Following the meeting and exchange with the university's leadership, Mr. Robert York led an in-depth seminar for UEB students titled "Career Path: How to land a job at the IMF." Students were introduced to prominent IMF recruitment programs such as the Research Assistant Program, Fund Internship Program, and Economist Program. These programs offer practical work experience in policy analysis and macroeconomic research, specifically designed for students passionate about economics and eager to contribute to international economic development.
This event not only helped UEB students better understand the requirements of IMF programs but also provided inspiration and career guidance from leading economic experts. It was a valuable opportunity for UEB students to access global knowledge, hone their skills, and prepare for a wide range of career paths in the future.
With continuous efforts to expand international cooperation, UEB is committed to providing students with a dynamic learning environment and numerous career development opportunities, affirming UEB's position on the educational map of Vietnam and the world.
