Prof. Dr. Nguyễn An Thịnh, respectively, received commendations for their outstanding research contributions, aligning with current scientific and technological trends and enhancing UEB's academic standing nationally and internationally.

International Economic Integration Research Team

Led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Anh Thu, this team achieved the following in 2024:

• Published seven articles in WoS/Scopus indexed journals, including two in top-tier Q1 journals.
• Published six high-quality monographs, providing valuable resources for researchers and lecturers in international economics.
• Produced four policy advisory reports adopted by government agencies, the Central Economic Commission, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
• Successfully managed two nationally funded research projects: one on foreign-invested economic zones, providing crucial strategic guidance; and another on seafood exports to the EU, offering solutions for Vietnamese businesses to maximize the benefits of free trade agreements.
• Organized an international seminar attracting over 40 international experts to discuss green policies in trade and investment.
• Provided expert support for a national seminar on foreign-invested economic zones, co-organized by UEB, the Central Economic Commission, and the Central Theoretical Council.
• Contributed to the publication of the book "For a Prosperous and Strong Vietnam," which received a 2024 "Good Book" award.
• Successfully mentored numerous doctoral and master's students, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources.
• Provided advisory reports for various Party committees, ministries, and provincial People's Committees on topics such as: the impact of the new international context on foreign-invested economic zones; the quality of foreign-invested economic zones; the impact of the global minimum tax on Vietnam; and solutions to boost Vietnam's textile and garment exports.

Development Economics Research Team

Led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn An Thịnh, this team achieved:

• Published 19 articles in WoS/Scopus indexed journals, including seven in Q1 journals.
• Published three monographs with Springer, a leading academic publisher.
• Successfully completed the 2024 PAPI report, contributing to improving governance and public administration in localities.
• Played a key role in international teaching and training, delivering specialized courses at Sungkyunkwan University (South Korea) and Hope University (USA).
• Successfully completed two science and technology projects in Quang Ninh and Nam Dinh provinces and secured major ARES projects in Belgium.
• Organized two national and five provincial seminars on topics such as circular economy, maritime economics, and environmental economics, providing practical solutions for local governments and industries.
• Successfully mentored 10 doctoral and three master's students.
• Published impactful research in environmental and maritime economics.

The achievements of these two research teams—International Economic Integration and Development Economics—reflect UEB's strong reputation in applied research and policy advice, significantly contributing to innovation. Their success is a source of pride for the university and serves as encouragement for students, graduate students, and researchers to continue their contributions to economic and social development.
