On April 26, the Accounting class at the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing, University of Economics and Business (UEB), welcomed Associate Professor Dr. Pavel Molchanov from HSE, Saint Petersburg, Russia. With the topic "Accounting in International Trade," the lecture attracted significant attention from students and faculty.
HSE, established in 1992, is a leading university renowned for its multidisciplinary programs and high-quality education. In 2023, HSE and UEB signed a cooperation agreement to promote joint training and research, creating opportunities for students and scholars from UEB to exchange and collaborate with their Russian counterparts.
Dr. Molchanov, an esteemed lecturer and expert in Economics and International Trade, delivered an engaging lecture. The session, part of the "Accounting for Export-Import Enterprises" course, provided students with a comprehensive understanding of international integration trends in accounting and challenges for Vietnam.
During the guest lecture, students explored topics such as:
- The impact of exchange rate fluctuations on Russian export-import businesses and risk mitigation strategies.
- Export tax policies in Russia and their effects on international market competitiveness.
- Global minimum tax and its implications for Russian multinational corporations.
The interactive session allowed students and faculty to discuss key issues in international trade accounting, enhancing their knowledge and practical understanding.
