Building on the achievements of the 2023 National Mathematics Olympiad, the UEB-VNU Math Team excelled again in 2024, earning one silver and three bronze medals. On the afternoon of May 3, 2024, students with outstanding performances in both the university and national-level competitions were honored with certificates for their exceptional achievements.
The award ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lê Trung Thành - Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn An Thịnh - Head of Development Economics, Dr. Phạm Quang Khoái - Team Coach, Dr. Lê Diệu Hương - Team Leader, representatives of the Math and Business Analytics Olympics Club, and outstanding students.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lê Trung Thành praised this year's team and provided guidance for future competitions. The Mathematics Olympiad, held annually by UEB-VNU, aims to enhance math teaching and learning, foster academic competition, and identify talented students for national contests in subjects like Calculus and Algebra.
Determined to improve their performance, the UEB-VNU team won three more medals than in 2023. At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lê Trung Thành and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn An Thịnh awarded certificates to Nguyễn Minh Anh, who won a Silver medal in Calculus and a Bronze medal in Algebra, and Nguyễn Quốc Anh, who won two Bronze medals in Calculus and Algebra.
The event also recognized top performers in the university-level competition: Vũ Hồng An, who won first place, and students Lê Văn Thắng, Trần Thị Hoài Trang, and Tô Kim Tuấn Vinh for their contributions.
